Month five of the Project 365 is done!
I find writing these blog posts fun as it means I get to revisit what we did the previous month and some of my favourite moments from the past few weeks. May always starts with my birthday and this year I had two helpers eager to blow off the candle from my birthday cupcake! As a present to myself, I got a camera lens extension tube which enables me to take more close up photos (great for practicing macro photography!). Weather was so crazy in May that we were still wearing some of our warm jackets and had to hide inside from heavy rains. But we did manage a few trips to local parks (where Emilia was living her best life on playgrounds) and even a trip to the London Olympic Park in Stratford.
One of the most exciting things happening in May was a visit from my mum. She stayed with us for a week and the kids were so happy to see her. Luckily the weather perked up a bit when she was here and we did a lot of gardening, managed to throw a family barbecue and even go to the London Zoo. Speaking of the zoo, going on trips to London with the two kids always make me nervous as I never know what to expect, but time and time again they show us that they are fine and we always have a good time together. Lesson learned this past month: I need to be a bit more brave and take them to more places!
Finally, at the end of the month Steve and I celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary - I can't believe we've been married for this long!
