Third month of the Project 365 is in the books!

We had an interesting start to the month. Firstly, it was Shrove Tuesday and World's Book Day (Antek went to school dressed as Willy Wonka as he enjoyed watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - funnily enough, the Tim Burton version and not the old classic one!). And then Antek brought head lice from school! At the beginning I panicked as I didn't know what to do (have you ever seen crawling head lice?!) and then the whole stripping off the bedsheets, washing all the clothes and towels began. That was brutal.

We started tidying up our garden and patio (right when Storm Gareth hit us!) and adding flowers and plants. March was also when we celebrated my husband's birthday (and everyone had to blow the candles, obviously) - not pictured was the trip to a huge soft play centre on his actual birthday because these days it's all about keeping them entertained and only celebrating in the evening when we have a couple of hours to ourselves. And then later in the month Steve had to travel for work to the US and my mum came over from Poland and stayed with us for a few days to help me out with the kids (I shared some of the photos from her visit + my thoughts on living far from my family). It was lovely to have her here and also my in-laws to visit - it doesn't happen very often that the kids have both of their grandmas in one place! And in case you were wondering about that last photo of Antek blowing the candles off his birthday cake - we celebrated a week early with the family as we were all meeting up for Mother's Day. He didn't mind it one bit and in fact was pretty chuffed he could start his birthday celebrations six days earlier!
