Shannon got in touch about her wedding a year beforehand, saying I absolutely fell in love with your portfolio online, and think it would be perfect for our wedding. When I found out her ceremony was going to be at Langtons House Registry Office in Hornchurch, I was excited as not only this place is local to me but I absolutely adore the grounds around the registry office and visit them frequently.
On a Friday afternoon in July, Shannon arrived with her father and bridesmaids and was visibly both excited and a bit nervous. Her cream and blush dress looked beautiful in the late afternoon sunshine, with the elaborate embroidery glimmering like little sparkles. She walked down the aisle with her father by her side, proceeded by her two bridesmaids, to a wonderful acoustic cover version of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love".
The ceremony was held in The West Room - also called 'The Blue Room' which is decorated in blue and white furnishings. The wedding party consisted of 50 people and the atmosphere was so joyous from the moment the guests started to arrive before the ceremony.
After the ceremony we took group photos outside the registry building, everyone exchanged best wishes with the bride and groom and we soon went for a short walk around the grounds in order to take bridal portraits. The weather was on our side and the gardens looked spectacular, especially the lavender patches.
To those not familiar with this location, Langtons House Registry Office is a Georgian grade II listed building situated in Billet Lane, Hornchurch. It is located on beautiful grounds overlooking a lake, making it a perfect setting for a wedding. The park grounds is beautiful all year round, with lots of lovely picturesque spots perfect as a backdrop for wedding portraits after the ceremony.
